I’ve been in love with off-the-shoulder trend since last summer. It is very feminine, chic and flattering. This year they came back big again. Everyone and their mother rocked this summer. I was rather sad to let the trend go for the winter moths. However, many designers brought them back this winter. Off-the- shoulder tops became thicker, warmer and even trendier in the winter and fall.
As for me, I love to wear them to work. However, I live in New York and it can be a bit chilly to wear by itself. I decided to dress them over my regular office shirts. Wow! I cannot describe how many compliments I got. For this first look I’ve styled it with my casual office trousers. My grey off the-shoulder top gave outfit a touch of glam while still being very business- casual. Of course I added my favorite CK boots because it’s already pretty chilly in NYC. Well, to be fully honest, I really like to wear boots all year round. The best part is that off-the-shoulder tops can be styled with anything. I styled it here with the work trousers but it can be easily dressed with the pencil skirt or leather shorts. I also added for the second look my favorite boots from Sam Edelman. Many brands have these printed gold, silver and white boots. I found mine at my favorite Century21 and they are by Sam Edelman. This is my second pair of shoes I got from this brand. I owned a pair of flip-flops last summer and they still come pretty handy. I absolutely love the off-the-shoulder trend and I hope it is here to stay longer!

I love mixing edgy and casual pieces of wardrobe with classic, formal office wear. Since I am working for a company with business, yet casual attire- I have to look polished and professional. However, my outfit doesn’t always have to be strictly formal- business. We all have the basic office items as well as casual pieces- why don’t mix them.
In the case of my today’s outfit I’ve mixed classic leather, black skirt with edgy semi-office shirt with bell sleeves. It looks like a regular stripy shirt from the top, but it has long bell shaped sleeves and uneven- shaped bottom. This shirt gives feminine, flowy and fashionable look to an everyday office outfit. You can pare it with any black or beige handbag. As for the shoes here comes another opportunity for imagination. I’ve paired my outfit with closed-toe beige and brown shoes with a bow on the top.
